  11. I have attached the latest version (v1.3) of Hang2000, a Mac shareware
  12. game, to this message.

  14. Please add this game to your archives, preferably in the info-mac/games
  15. directory, as info-mac/games/hang-2000-13.hqx.

  17. The program has been checked to be virus free. And, you do have my
  18. permission (and my thanks) to include this program on any of your

  31. Hang2000 v1.3 Released!

  33. Merrimack, New Hampshire, February 1, 1999: Ken Winograd and
  34. Space-Time Associates announced today the release of version 1.3
  35. of a fun Macintosh shareware game called Hang2000.  Hang2000 is 
  36. a new take on the classic hangman word guessing game we
  37. all played when we were kids.  It features colorful,
  38. non-violent graphics, digitized sounds, synthesized speech,
  39. dozens of built-in word categories, thousands of words,
  40. unlimited lists of your own words, and much more.

  42. Hang2000 is "secretly educational". It's played for fun,
  43. but you can't help learning. Included in Hang2000 is a
  44. new "knowledge area". This area will include
  45. information associated with the guessed word or phrase.
  46. If the word chosen is from the States or Countries
  47. category, for example, the knowledge area will show the
  48. capital of the State or Country. If the category is Authors
  49. or Composers, the knowledge area will show facts about, or
  50. famous works of, the author or composer.  Of course, you can
  51. also make your own lists (unlimited in number) and include
  52. your own associated information.

  54. There are dozens of categories, guaranteed to include
  55. something for everyone.  From Monsters and Dinosaurs to
  56. Star Trek and Television Shows, from Animals and Birds
  57. to Colors and Cities, from Fruits and Vegetables to
  58. Presidents and Vice-Presidents, from Rock and Roll to
  59. Opera and Musical Instruments. And literally dozens more!

  61. This new version (v1.3) adds a host of new digitized sounds,
  62. as well as a new "change case button" that allows you to
  63. switch the large alphabetical icons between lower case and
  64. upper case.  This truly allows the program to be enjoyed
  65. by users of all ages...K-12 and beyond.

  67. Hang2000 requires a Macintosh that supports 256 colors
  68. or more.
